JokerJuice 5/5/13 . chapter 9Loved it! I need MORE! Lol |
ame-ga-korobu 11/19/12 . chapter 9Overall, fantastic! |
ame-ga-korobu 11/19/12 . chapter 7" Now no one much believes in it anymore, save a few modern 'druids' who keep hoping that the door will open up again." You know, there's a quite a Pagan revival going on these days. The old ways are possibly becoming the new ways now. The ancient Druid ways are mostly lost, true, but that knowledge is always there for those who truly seek it. |
hecatemoondancer 11/15/11 . chapter 9great story |
vwvanlover 8/23/11 . chapter 9Absolutely Stunning... I read the first two yesterday and had to read this one today! I love how you pair BJ and Lydia :D |
nightmarekitt 8/7/11 . chapter 9Honey, I've got to tell you, I swept through these BJ fanfictions with so much vigor that the experience has literally left me winded. I absolutely love your writing style, and your portrayal of BJ and Lydia makes me grin from ear to ear. Once I finished up this chapter, I berated myself thoroughly for not reviewing until now. I HATE when people do that, and I usually don't myself, however, this was just so good that I couldn't stop! I know it's been a while, but I hope you keep at it. It made my day! 3 |
Ra MayKaizen 3/9/11 . chapter 9I have spent the last evening and latter half of this evening reading this three part series of yours. And I must say... I am thoroughly impressed. Not only is it well-writ, but you clearly have a more than decent grounding in what you've written about and I applaud you. These three stories have been a delight to read and have restored my faith in both this site and fanfiction writers. Keep up the wonderful work Ra |
RagamuffinSundrop 1/21/11 . chapter 9Absolutely lovely. |
cinimar 9/9/10 . chapter 9what! over! I'm so glad you returned to this fandom. I hope you will write us another story :) 3 |
wee-me 9/6/10 . chapter 9Last bit of my rambling at you, aren't you glad? *grin* Aww, but he wants to give her a phone number I'm sure. You describe things so well. Lydia, wow, strong lady. She loves him enough to suffer, I think that says a lot. Very powerful writing in Betel's rechristening. Even at his most basic he doesn't want to be under anyone's power. I wonder how he feels and what all he remembers when he's re-made. Poor Juno having to deal with jerks. Hmm, now I really want to see how Gwyn and the happy couple interact, would they fight over Lydia? When Lydia passes on will she be like Betel in power? I think Gwyn would take her on if Betel ever let her go. Glad everything ended so well. I'm so glad you wrote this, it was wonderful. I think it really went well with the other two stories. The open ending is lovely. Most importantly I'm glad you got to write. How does it feel to get it done? *hugs and confetti* |
wee-me 9/6/10 . chapter 8Lydia seems to be made of braver stuff than I. I'm kinda taken with Gwyn myself, he's very interesting and maybe he's the source of some of Betel's "charms". Again the sharing of drinks made me a little nervous, I should lay off the fae stories. Lydia is doing quite well with her possible in-law. (I won't beg for more story, 'cause I know how annoying that can get, but I so want to see Gwyn and the happy couple interacting some time.) My heart hurt for Gwyn, it's awful to be left wondering if someone really ever cared for you. Death to avoid listening to chatter, I could see that. Aww, Betel thinking of Lydia was sweet and I'm glad Barnabas didn't get to her. Great chapter. Had to mention: "feeling like nothing as simple as teeth and small fingerbones could weird her out, having now ridden on a flying stag with the Welsh incarnation of Death" That's a good point I suppose, but I'd still feel a little weird about it. Or I'd at least be making up stories in my head about where they came from. |
wee-me 9/6/10 . chapter 7So much wonderful history you add in, I always find at least one thing in your stories I need to look up- makes me learning-nerd squee. I love Juno's "rusted sympathy" and Oshun's catty comments mixed with her real sadness. I think Juno does better than she thinks she can. It sounds like Juno has more faith in Betel and Lydia's relationship than she thinks, she says "if he ever" breaks her heart. *has on crazy-shipper goggles* Lyds has wonderful reasoning in my opinion, sometimes wanting to punch someone is the only reason you can get stuff done. Hmm, does Betel not like Barnabas? I couldn't tell by his description how he feels. *grin* Wonderful descriptors there dear. |
wee-me 9/6/10 . chapter 6I went through and read all the chapters before I came back to review, sorry. I wanted to review as I went but I got sucked in by the story. I'll try not to be ridiculously wordy like I've been before, but there were so many gems in this story I'm not sure how successful I'll be. I was weirdly anxious about Lydia drinking Oshun's tea, I think I've read too many things with tricky fae lately. Such a beautiful place you have for her to live, I want to go visit. The bowl sounds cool too. "gathering her thoughts like strands of thread", what a lovely way to phrase it. A glorious and layered history you've given Betel, I love that he's been well loved even if it hasn't ended well. Love your Juno, love love love her. You ratcheted up the tension so well. Wonderful chapter sweetie. *hug* |
Doormouse 9/6/10 . chapter 9I think we all feel that way about that annoying poltergeist. No matter our relation to him ranging from the world of text in front of us to Juno's more...er hands-on? I meant to review all the chapters but as I got toward the end it was like, eeeh no must read! But this story is fantastic. I always have and probably always will and that is largely due to the fact I do adore your writing but has something to do with Betelgeuse too I suppose. :) |
Doormouse 9/6/10 . chapter 6I love the descriptor "Like a raven after pretties." I mean I love all your writing and think you're fantastic at it of course, but every once in a while you'll have these *fantastic* turns of phrase that just go above and beyond just writing well, even beyond writing fantastically. There's a made up writer in a book series I am reading and we never get to read anything he's written but he's supposed to paint these pictures and pretty much (possibly mythically I'm not sure yet) write literally so well that he can never be famous 'cause no one else would ever need to write again, they could never top it. That's what reminds me of you, or you remind me of him, or something, with those occasionally more awesome than awesome phrases. |
