Still good, although you kinda (for lack of a better word) make yourself better than all of the other characters. I'm pretty sure that that's what a Mary Sue is....weird to apply that to this, esp. since you're a guy.....--'
But...yeah. I don't know, it's just from what I've read already, but you seem to make yourself near perfect. This is written well, and I do like it, but the author of a self insertion should have good reason for making themselves better than the other characters.
I don't know yet, but maybe you do. And please don't think I'm flaming you. I'm just trying to give you some constructive criticism.

I'm absolutely adoring Aidan's character. He's got quite the will power to overcome the hold that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had over him.
