good story, please keep updating! i loved the suspenseful ending on this chapter! the staircase part was pretty hilarious, I was LOL'ing so much!

I think you should have done more with the staircases though. you barely mentioned the outcome of the prank at all, it was just over way too quickly.

might i suggest a flashback chapter that goes into more detail? was Snape trapped in the entrance hall? how did he get to his lessons? did he try any other staircases? What do the teacers do? does anyone trace it to the Marauders and do they get in trouble?

Okay I'm gonna point this out to you because I love you even though I don't know you. Here it is: how do they know it's Snape that did that? I think if you went back and added something like "...James noticed out of the corner of his eye as Lily kept preening his hair Snape smirking in a satisfied way. He wondered briefly what that meant before he remembered that he needed to get Lily to Slughorn for the antidote..." And then adding something like Sirius saying "well Snape is good at potions. Maybe he is the one to do that. You know I'm not good enough at potions to brew Amortentia..." when James accuses Sirius of being the one to do it.

This is just a suggestion, but I think it would be very useful in setting the believability in the story, because right now I just see the Marauders jumping to conclusions just because they don't like Snape.

Other than that one little tweek, I have to say I have enjoyed reading this story immensely and look forward to getting to continue reading. :)

Hello! I enjoyed your story very much- particularly your idea of the staircases rejecting Snape. That'll make for a very funny chapter, I'm sure. My only thought was that Lily seemed less intelligent than I'd expect her to be- she never reacts when Peter comes close to revealing their secrets (not even with curiosity) and she seemed oblivious to James' advances under the cloak. Otherwise, I love the way the characters interact, and the Marauders' goofy, yet intelligent personalities.
