Amazing!

Absolutely amazing story. I really was hoping there was another chapter I loved it that much.

I kinda hate you right now for ending it like that, which is why this fic is going on my favourites. Damn you and your excellent writing!

This was beautiful, it's been a really long time since I've been so captivated and left breathless by a fanfic. This is whump fic done really well. One of the things I love about the SG fandom is how wonderfully it explores all that was left unsaid and unexplored on the show, (such as the emotional/psychological consequences of Jack's imprisonment). You explore it wonderfully here. Thank you.

urgh. my heart! in a good way, of course. brilliantly written, and the world you created believable - so believable that I felt quite hurt that sam and Hannah weren't able to mend their friendship (perhaps in the sequel...hmmm..?) but at the same time glad that Tess and Sam reached understanding.

The way you handled the flashbacks along with the main story was also well written, and one was never confused.

In a not so subtle hint...it would be intersting to see more of Jack's POV in this story.

Okay, you're my favorite SG1 writer of all time. I've read your stories over and over and over again because you have spin such darkly realistic alternate narratives for the team that also seem terrifyingly real and in character and canon. Although it's difficult to pick a favorite story, I think I'd have to choose this one. I love LOVE the way you handle Jack's experience with Ba'al and his anger and Sam's almost overwhelming guilt. The difficult situation they find themselves in magnifies tensions touched on, but never fully explored in the series, and you do it in a poignant and realistic way.

That said ... I'm begging you. Groveling really. It hurts my pride to do it. You're my favorite writer, and I respect your writing too much to ask you to do something you obviously don't feel the story needs. And I've tried not to be annoying. But... But.. do you think you might someday write an epilogue or another ending to this story? I've read Rusted Wheel so many times I have parts of it by heart, and I've pretty much convinced myself now that Sam is dead. But if she isn't, if in some imagined continuation of the story in your mind, she's still alive, do you think you might someday share that story with us?

Utterly masterful-I have to say that I simply could not pull myself away from this fic-for four hours non-stop in the wee hours of the morning. Four hours amazingly well spent. Your writing style is simply captivating, the characters so beautifully captured. I so deeply and thoroughly enjoyed this amazing story in its entirety. I loved it. Thank you!

I am going to agree with a previous review: I think the ending stands as it should. Powerful and haunting, just like the story in it's entirety. Well done.

Beautifully written as always, a nice plot, lots of angst... But I echo some of the reviews here: is there an epilogue, anything abut what happens next aside from the regular canon? ;) Argh!

Just bloody amazing. One question, what happens now? Now that Carter knows what really happened? Now that she really knows how Jack feels?

Can there please be a sequel to this, even a short piece? I don't need an explanation as to how they got the collars off, just the reaction afterward.

You know what? I think you should leave this story exactly as it is. No epilogue, no sequel.

Good heavens. What a disappointing ending to what would have been a great story. Its just too abrupt and does not 'end' at all. Like you just got fed up with it or ran out of inspiration. What a shame.
