Lindelas 10/13/12 . chapter 1This is really good! Oddly enough, I never really thought deeply about Famine's comment about Dean's soul, and then I completely forgot about it when Sam was wandering about without HIS. So this offered some really good insight. I also love stories that explore Sam and Cas' friendship. |
Paleonut 8/5/11 . chapter 1Great story! I loved how you captured what was going on in Sam's head, and your solution to Dean's situation. Congratulations on nailing the main results of being soulless, great foresight. |
HarrySirius 10/6/10 . chapter 1Another favourite. Yes, I am rummaging through your stories *laughs* and until so far, I loved each and everyone! You write and absolutely convincing Dean, a darling Sammy and now you even pull off Cas. You are really talented. Thank you so much for so many beautiful pieces. That one was heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time. I always wondered how Sam would cope with what Famine said to Dean. And you've written it exactly as it could have happened. Love it. |
pandora jazz 8/11/10 . chapter 1I wondered about Famine's comment too, so nice to read your thoughts on this subject. I think this episode left us with questions, like many of the others did and no answers by the end of the season. You already know my feelings about the season finale. You had a couple of lines in your story that stood out for me. "Dean has bore the weight of much suffering, more than most humans could ever exist within, but there is more pain to come." When I read this one, my first thought was Dean gets to watch is brother die and go to hell with his permission. Than another as Sam was thinking about his brother. 'He hoped Dean's strength and resilience, the ability he'd always possessed to come back from any defeat was still there, waiting for the chance to shine through.' Dean does come through for his brother in the end and won't let him die alone. It was a good story, but even as I read it for a second time, I just wanted to cry. I'm so glad that your computer is working again and you can share stories with us. Hope all is well with you and your family. Did you ever get your 'SN' marathon? Shari still hasn't watched the last three episodes, she figures she should before Vancouver. I'll drop you a line soon. Until than, take care. |
Fang360 8/10/10 . chapter 1The story was very good but your style of writing is absolutely incredible. I'll admit this piece makes me want to go find your other work just to read the way you write them. Breath takingly fantastic is the only way to describe it. |
sylia91 8/4/10 . chapter 1Dean in season 5 in many ways to me was clinically depressed but in true Dean fashion never truly gave up. You are right, if he really was empty like Famine stated then he shouldn't have cared so much, hurt so much nor tried so much. Briefly he gave up on himself but I never believed he gave up on Team Free Will despite the constant obstacles and devastation thrown his way. Sam as a younger sibling I think deep down felt he always had Dean to turn to but Dean felt that he was the last stop and without John, he had no one else to cede responsibility to and turn over his burden. Everyone was looking to him for answers, even Cas and Bobby. There were times the boy's despair nearly floored me and the finale did not realy leave Dean in a better place. The WORLD was saved but his world was destroyed. Dean wanted a family not necessarily Lisa and Ben and any family is incomplete to him without Sammy. |
irismay42 8/4/10 . chapter 1Ooh interesting theory! It kind of bugged me that the show never had time to come back to what Famine meant about the state of Dean's soul, because it was so open for interpretation! I like the idea that it's still there, burning bright, just waiting for the right time to show itself again. Maybe at the start of season 6? Who knows! Looking forward to whatever else you've got lurking on your computer! |
Heartless BytchhakaHelenBach1 8/4/10 . chapter 1Good story BJ, thank you for writing it. Are you going to develop it further? I see a lot of possibility there for more to that story line. :) |
