I've read this before and loved it, but I wanted to send you a review because I'm reading it now having spent yesterday starting the cleanup/paperwork on our house at the Jersey Shore and I re-realized what a great job you did. It made me cry. Cathartic tears.

Example or not, this fic rocked! You really brought the atmosphere of NOLA after Katrina to life in this story. It's really amazing that you can bring not only the devastation but the hope out in a one shot.

That chick's got Eric under soooo many love spells; it's awesome! lol. I thought it was so cute how utterly mad she was, because she thought he didn't want her. And I could totally imagine Eric as the type of guy to stay put and help out, and of course try to keep everything/everyone safe )
