Aww. Both cute and moving! This version of how things could have gone had an organic progression for the relationship, along with witty lines and genuine character moments like Iroh's mix of optimism and sorrow in the beginning, and Zuko being ashamed of not having fought. The twist in his line at the end was wonderful, and left things nice and open though I'm guessing that from Iroh's reminiscence earlier (I shudder to think how our lives would have played out...) that Zuko made the right choice. Nice AU.

Putting this in Iroh's point of view was an interesting choice, but I think it may have distracted a bit from Suki and Zuko's own dynamic. Still, an interesting story, and the end in particular felt quite powerful. Nice work!

That's a very heartfelt story. Poor Zuko! He really must decide what's important for him. Knowing Zuko, the probability for him to mess up is great, but so's his chances of doing the right thing, whatever it is.

This story is awesome. Heh, what a way to end a story. I hope you do decide to expand on this one day.

But it was a very nice start to a realistic relationship between these two. I don't think I'd be able to come up with a way to do that.

Very glad to see an addition to the small collection of Zuki fics. It's honestly one of my favorite pairings, weird as that may seem. Kudos!

You have converted me. Mai/Zuko can go die in a ditch for all I care. I am now an official Zuko/Suki fan. That open ending was perfect and I would make a parade in your honor if you chose to continue this!

I've got a soft spot for Zuki and it's good to see well-written fic for it. The issue of neutrality and Zuko feeling ashamed for not fighting was a clever way to connect Zuko and Suki. I liked how the story ended on an ambiguous note.

I tink you should continue it. This was that good. It was simple, well paced, creative and all out entertaining. I would love this to become a story instead of just a one-shot. But it is your choice, it would still be great as a one-shot. Go Sukko and Zue.
