I love where this story is going! Your attention to detail is amazing, it really feels as if V.C. Andrews wrote this...I hope to see more of Paul, and the others, but I loved your take on the characters, and also the Chris/Cathy moment at the end. I thought it was very interesting how you changed Olivia too. Can't wait for more! :D

I loved the introduction of Paul. And Caren's step-father is such an a-hole!

I love how Cathy wasn't oblivious to the fact that Corrine obviously favored Chris.

THANK YOU for not making Corrinne and Chris bro and sis. I hated that part in Garden of Shadows. I felt that twist was unnecessary. I love how your story skipped that. hehehe

gaaah. Corrinne is really desiring that Foxworth fortune real bad. I fear for the kids now.

Another wonderful chapter! So excited to continue reading, and the characters are, like always, spot on! I feel like I'm reading another V.C Andrews book. And I'm always super excited to see the character develop!

Wow! This story is so brilliantly written! I think all the characters are spot on, and I'm even enjoying your own original additions. I hope you chose to evolve Paul and Cathy's relationship, he WAS my favorite, and Chris and Cathy too...I also hope you choose to carry this on for a long time! :D

loved the phone conversation. From that scene alone we can see how different the relationship is between Corrine/Chris and Corrine/Cathy.

That was a lovely description of Christopher, as Cathy observes him talking on the phone to Corinne. And spot on dialogue for Corinne... I'm doing my best... Ha! Doesn't she ALWAYS think she is? :)

Olsen got a mention! (Good timing, since he's been prominent in our conversations, lately, and...elsewhere.) It's nice to think that Alicia's contributions to the FH gardens would still be there and thriving. More pink, eh? :)

I chuckled at Cathy's asking about whether Olivia has other, more interesting clothes, beyond her taffeta dresses, after just having discussed movie stars (and presumably fashion) with Caren. An older person might not have thought to ask, or wondered. :)

One minor quibble, but cable TV didn't exist in the fifties. I don't think it appeared until the early '80s (my family didn't have it until the late '80s. My sister and I felt so deprived! LOL) Also, I don't know that a young girl would have a TV set in her room, because the units were large...or at least, the antique ones I've happened to see, so I could be mistaken. But my impression is that a family might own one, if they had one at all-they were expensive...but as I said, a minor matter.
