I thought it was great. Yes, it was twisted. Yes, it was dark. And yes, it was creepy. That just makes it a perfect story in my mind.

Joking aside, it was really well written. The time skips were masterfully handled, and that "perfection" leit-motiv really tied it together.

The decent of Legolas was also well done. Most story's of this type show that the author was in too much of a hurry to get to the character's breaking point, and that makes them too weak compared to canon.(Not that I am a canon Nazi, but in this case, it's good to stick to canon, IMO).

So anyway, great one shot. I don't think it should have a sequel, because then it would ruin the chilling last words, and there would be nothing left to say about Legolas or Sauron. As much as I liked it, it would be a shame to continue it.

So that being said, congratulations!

Somehow, this story is both beautiful and creepy as all hell. Even the darkest scenes in this piece are beautifully written, and the ending image...

It's very, very hard to read a story like this and put the experience into words. It's the kind of story that you read, and look over again, and then remember at two in the morning when you see something outside your window. Brilliantly written.

Beautifully and well written. I actually got chills from reading this, but if it was from the morbid beauty or the gentle insanity or just the creepy feelings it gives, I'm not sure. But I do know I like it.
