*a sigh of relief* Jess is tough and strong, but still has that soft heart that makes her good at the job. Don too, he knows that to do this he has to keep a part of himself locked away, but I'm glad that with Jess he is willing to soften and trust that she has it in good hands. :)
The best thing in here has to be when we saw Danny unbend enough to admit that the profilers did help with this case. Its not hooey but a real way of catching criminals. I just hope that you continue this with Don and Jess as profilers who get called back with another serial on the loose! :D
I was so scared that Jess would be hurt in here, I'm so glad that all the injuries she suffered were minor, the mental scars...Don will help her heal those. As for the wound on her stomach, that made me shiver! Lindsay has no reason to blame herself, she tried to do what the killer wanted but that freak would have come after Jess sooner or later. He is just that sick! Seriously, I hope that this is not the end of your posting. One story's close means that you can post another!

"The second floor was much the same as the first but it didn't take long for the shout of 'bitch' to echo down the empty corridor. Jess was clearly not being a compliant victim and under different circumstances Don might have allowed himself a smile at that."
"I need to get back but I can drop you off at the hotel on the way," he told her after another moment of silence but she shook her head.
"No, I want to see this through," she stated and he knew it would be pointless to argue with her, she was stubborn when she had set her mind to something. He nodded, looking over her, feeling the urge to wrap her up in his arms where she was safe and keep her there, protected. Instead he stepped forward and kissed her, running his fingers through her hair and allowing himself just that one moment to be unguarded, to just be the man that cared about her maybe more than he had ever cared about anything, the man that had almost lost her just a couple of hours ago.
Jess wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face there; he heard her wince at the action but stopped himself from making comment on it. He just held her for a moment, knowing it was what she needed and admitting to himself it was what he needed as well.
She finally stepped back from him, taking a deep breath and straightening herself up. "Let's go finish this case."
Marvelous job! And thank you for sharing this with us. :)
Just gotta say Flack's description seemed a little OC. I mean in the show he hovers more often and I really don't think that Jess and Don can ever do anything without being a couple. For example when they kissed in dead inside they turned into a couple but whatever. This is your story and what a great story! Great last chappy but I'm more of a happy ever after gal so I'd hoped to see them get into a real relationship but still great story.
CRAP! Oh, you have me angry/shocked/and anxious waiting for more! I hope that nothing happens to Jess, and if it does...it would kill Don. And I don't want to see that happen to him, he is so cool in here. I love how Jess was handling the brother, who is angry that the world has kept on turning while his sister is gone. I wonder if the reason Don jumped in is because knows what he is going through? Anyway, Jess was doing great at handling it.
Danny is catching it from all sides, isn't he? First his parents, brother, and now this killer who is tormenting the woman he has feelings for. And with the FBI profilers, who he doesn't believe in. This might be weird, but I LOVE the argument between him and Don at the end. They may be friends in the show but here the relationship is new and the lines haven't been drawn yet. I hope that at the end of this they share a measure of respect for each other and what they can do. :)
As for Lindsay, I can see why Danny didn't want her to meet the killer but her strong spirit has never been broken. That is why the killer feels he has unfinished business. Marvelous job!
I first began reading this thinking it may have been the team some OC FBI profilers but I was wrong. I don't usually read AU type stuff but I'm loving this one so far.
It's a little dissapointing that we don't really see much happen between Flack/Angell but they are too professional to let anything happen...
I'm loving this one so much! I can't wait for another chapter to see what he's going to do to Angell...
I think I already told you what a fantastic story this is. It is so full of tension and angst and everything. I also love how you have both ships in it. Awesome fic!
Poor Flack and Angell. Can u pls update really quickly? I really wanna find out when Flack's gonna freak out and when Angell's gonna kick the killer's ass and when they will profess their love for each other. Pls pls make those things happen. Pretty pls wid a cherry on top? The killer is getting bolder and the story is catching up to the climax. Don't leave us hanging!
Your stories get us to invest in each and every case they work, the overall theme in here to me is the anger that the families feel. And you can't help but feel for them losing the ones they love. But I know that Jess, Don, and Danny will get this man who is terrorizing everyone. I LOVE that Adam is Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds in here, LOL! That does fit him. :)
It scares me that this killer has his sights on another woman before fulfilling his promise to Lindsay. Is he going to snatch Jess? Is she next? I know, no spoilers. :) The way Jess handled the press was great, she may hate it but she is good at it. Can't they see that they are part of the problem with giving this man too much attention? I hope that they do this job for who it is for, the public and the victims out there. And Don's thoughts at the end, were heartbreaking. Especially about the case that he overheard the detective speaking of. To me he is Aaron Hotchner, with the way he cares deeply for his job and the people in his life. I hope he doesn't let Jess slip away.

"These people are the FBI," she told her husband who looked them over.
"How could you let this happen?" he questioned, they were used to the anger from victim's families, had come to expect it.
"Mr Bell, I assure you we're doing everything we can to find the man responsible for this and stop him," Don stated, keeping his voice and posture calm. "I know this is difficult but we need to ask you some questions about your daughter."
"She has two older brothers," the mother told him, fresh tears coming to her eyes that she was trying to force back. "And I love both of them but I prayed for a girl, and then I got Andrea and she was everything I could have dreamed of. She was always so girly, wanting to wear pretty clothes and play dress up. She'd sneak into my room and use my makeup, she'd come downstairs covered in it. We did everything together even as she got older... now she's gone. Nothing you can do or say is going to bring her back so tell me Agents, why should I answer any of your questions."
"Because Mrs Bell," Jess said quietly but firmly. "You can help us to prevent this man from doing this to someone else, from taking someone else's little girl and you can help us make sure that he doesn't get away with what he did to Andrea."
There was a moment of silence throughout the room before Mrs Bell nodded her head, losing her battle with the tears. "Ask your questions."
Poor girl. She sounded like a nice person. So the killer is gonna go after Lindsay and it isn't a huge leap to say that Jess is the special girl in the note? huh? So Adam works as Penelope Garcia as techie. Their from Quantico, Virginia I guess. I liked it how the teens shut up from Jess's glare and badge. They are totally in da zone. Pls update soon.
Yay! A good FA story! It's like Criminal Minds meets CSI:NY... I love it. Lots. Interested by all the AU, I must say. In a good way. Please update, else my head shall be filled with school work and I shall go crazy.
I do love that Danny and Don are on the same side yet opposing forces in here, I hope that by the end of this that both of them see that they don't have to unfriendly, they are both doing their jobs. :) I don't know if it is just me, but Don seems to be taking this case rather personal, does it have anything to do with Sam? Because the victims are all young, pretty, and brunettes. She just popped into my mind as a reason why he is so involved in here, but he is a dedicated FBI profiler.
Jess is wonderful with her diplomatic skills but even she has a breaking point, Danny shouldn't have with held that there was a live witness. I love that Lindsay is in here, I wonder how the others will come into play. When Lindsay was retelling what had happened to her, I could feel that Jess wanted to comfort her and make sure that it didn't happen again. She is awesome with people and encouraging them to talk. I felt so sorry for Andrea's boyfriend, I don't even know what to say. It is so easy to miss people these days.
Even if Jess is unclear what their relationship is, I think by the time this case is over, it will be more defined. I doubt Don would want to lose the best thing he has had for a long while. Because he sounds just as dedicated to the job as her. :) The press conference was impressive, it does make me wonder who this guy is and how they are going to narrow it down. They need a JJ to help them with the media! :D Excellent chapter!
So friends wid benefits or what. And of course the feelings weren't one sided. Danny and Lindsay so I think it's safe to assume they know each other from before? Or is it simply Danny met her and was drawn to her? Do you rite for Criminal Minds also? Cause this is a very accurate profile. Again, love ur style for case fics. Would like a lil more flangell and a lil more defination on their relationship. Will that be revealed later? Ud better keep ur promise to update or i'll haunt ur dreams. LOL.
