I swear I freaking hate that song because of how creepy it is. This was a great read

I really like this. I always found this part of Dead Space very interesting, as it seemed to convey something much deeper that the immediate storyline itself did not get into. I often wondered if it held some special meaning of Isaac's position, or if she was simply hallucinating so close to the verge of death. I found that line "I knew you'd come, just like you said" to be a very haunting scenario, because it made me start thinking, was she imagining Isaac was some sort of angel, like a lot of people do at death, or was she referring to something else? Does Isaac play a deeper role than he realizes? Was he in fact the one who said he would come, even if he doesn't realize it himself? Or was it all just a pointless insertion of drama to make the game that much creepier?

Maybe we will never know. But I do know this - this was an excellent read, and I'm glad that someone decided to delve a little deeper into the details of this particular event. It was also very well written, and the tone you gave her really fit well into the theme and overall feeling that Dead Space gives the player (plus, something about the present tense vs. past, makes it that much more impactful). Sad, frightening, and perhaps a little enlightening... even heartfelt. To me, everything about Dead Space was like that - precious, and beautifully horrific. To capture that, I think, really captures Dead Space, and I would say you've done that very well. :)
