It's been a while since I reviewed anything you've written; I'm not even sure what name I used then. But I've just done a marathon rereading of a number of your stories (which were delightful and transporting as ever), and just wanted to say that I hope you're doing all right these days, since it's been such a very long time since you've posted here. Hopefully that only means that Real Life is keep you happily occupied, and nothing more sinister than that. :) Take care!

Good story. Your original characters very much seem like what one would expect the Blythe grandchildren to be like. I like the voice you use in the narration; it isn't overly cutesy, as a lot of fanfiction can be. I'm looking forward to see what you come up with in the next chapter.

I like your storys very well - sorry I was "offline" for many weeks/months. I removed my old Anne FFs and start to write them new. I try to learn from you - to write good FFs.

Aw, I like the human, flawed Sally Blythe better than this image of perfection, Cecilia Rose. Although of course I'm glad Sally has set forth an ideal to grow into!

And I feel for her, always being overlooked. Walt is the eldest, so he gets a bit more attention because of that. Helen is the timid one, so naturally her family is going to be extra-tender toward her. Cam is - well, Cam - and so they're all willing to bend over backward to accommodate him. And in the meantime, poor Sally just slips through the cracks, or gets blamed for not always wanting to work around the others. It *is* hard to be the "good one."

I'm glad, right along with her, that Cam was disappointed in himself. Because really? He should be. If all the family ever does is accept his temper fits, he'll never have any incentive to improve himself. He needs to feel disappointed in himself once in a while!

Thanks for the update! What a lot of human nature you manage to concentrate in your characters. I'm looking forward to seeing how they manage to come to terms with each other :)

I understand Sally's exasperation with Cam's rages. It gets old, always having to watch what you say around some people. I love this chapter because it's very true to what we go through during those teenage years. We're all a bundle of emotions and changes.

Bess is so perfectly Little Elizabeth's daughter, so very, very LMM-ish. Marking her stage debut - thinking about it for her future - in some ways she reminds me of the Story Girl, not in personality, but in that she thinks about things beyond the here and now and everyday, as her peers do.

Claire is a wonderful blend of pettiness and chumminess. Thank heavens! - She is not the stereotyped "arch-enemy," or even Irene Howard, but neither is she a perfect Blythe; she is a normal, human girl.

And Sal - oh, I know so well the fear of being left behind, of feeling immature because you aren't interested in boys and makeup, and yet to have no desire for any of those things. The desire FOR the desire, yes. I hope Sally doesn't get too silly in her quest for maturity!

What a beautiful first chapter. We're really starting to see the differences between Claire and Sally now though. I see jealousy and such in the near future. Can't wait to find out!

The beginning to another wonderful story! I loved Blythe by Name (forgive me for "lurking" and not reviewing!) and I love Sally's character. She's as beloved to me as Cecilia, Alice and Bertha and I can't wait to read more about her adventures. Also I'm interested to see what happens with Sally and Harry... as Phil Gordon would say, "Fee fi fo fum, I smell romance!"
