I must congratulate you for writing a Ranma/eva cross without falking in the same footsteps of those that came before you. I hope you keep to it, and write a VERY interesting fic.

Not bad, this story has promise. Everything you've been doing so far has been fine, but since this is only the first two chapters, that's speaking a little too soon. My advice is try not to shortchange any of the pilots, especially Shinji. That seems to happen a lot in these kinds of crossovers. As for the mention of Gendo Ikari's father, you might want to go into detail on that a little more; sounds interesting.
