I love how you've made him likeable, I get sick of asshole Jacob sometimes.

Anyway, It was so sad to read the little things between the lines. The way he drove to their house and noted the difference between his car and the Cullen's cars. How he compared the nice things in Esme to the qualities he liked in Bella.

The part where Carlisle nailed the things that Jacob worried about regarding Bella's feelings towards Edward and their subsequent break up, was inspired. I loved that!

My heart is heavy for Jacob because I know he is trying so hard and has such high hopes for the future, when really, Bella just doesn't feel the same way.

I can't wait till Edward shows up in this fic.

I like how you've shown the strong bond between Alice and Bella and how lovely Jacob seems.

It seems like he's not entirely secure in Bella's love for him, even though he thinks he is. I loved Carlisle's letter but it's telling that Jacob needs to draw strength from it to convince himself that he is enough for Bella.

Of course this is an Edward Bella story so he won't be enough for her and I can't wait till Edward comes back.

Even more so now that your Jacob is a nice guy. I get sick of reading Jacob as a dick all the time.

It means more if he's a nice guy and gets his heart broken! Lol! I guess I'm a bit sick.

Anyway, I didn't mind the shifting view points in this, it worked.

I love this story so much. Your Jake seems like an amazing guy so far. It says alot that Edwards family are so happy for Bella and are so supportive of Jake. Edward must have been a complete jackass for even his family to be so against him. Will it be a while before we hear from Edward in this? Can't wait to read more.

How heartbreaking...seems like your Jake is a good guy though and has been good for Bella. Can't wait to read more. Great writing.

Oh... E & Bs backstory was so sad. It's nice that SB was there for her. I've already favorited & alerted this story. I have the feeling that this will be one wild ride.

My curiosity is peaked! I'm fine with SharkBoy(Jacob) as long as we go E and B at some point in the game. I do want to see how this goes. On to chapter 2 now.

Good job with filling out some of the back story. Edward sounds like he was a real dick (controlling who she talks to etc) but I understand why and I just know he won't be such a dick when he comes back...right?

The one thing that surprised me though was Carlisle supplying him with the prescribed drugs. Surely he would have known Edward was developing a problem long before it got out of hand? But I guess sometimes it takes a parent a long time to realise that sometimes love needs to be tough. At least he got him help in the end.

This has great shades of New Moon in it, with Edward leaving without a word and Jacob swooping in there, you did a fab job of putting your own spin on it.

I particularly liked tha part where Jacob was leaving and he and Bella were all awkward before they kissed. That's exactly what it's like when you shift from friendship to something more and I thought you captured it brilliantly.

Another surprising thing was how much it bothered me that she felt like it was wonderful and amazing and loved being so intimate with him. It surprised me because Jacob usually features heavily in my own stories and I've just realised I don't like him anywhere near Bella.. Not one bit! lol!

When she says it feels 'almost like home' that tells me she's not fully committed to it. But then she goes on to say that she loves having him close like a lover.

Was she intimate with Edward?

Anyway, I enjoyed this. I'm looking forward to more and I think the shifting view points will be a good thing.

Good start.

I like how she was happy at the proposal but I could still tell that she wasn't ENTIRELY happy. It seemed straight away like she was settling, like she's happy that someone wants her more than she's happy that HE wants her.

She seems to be trying hard to convince herself that she's feeling things like: Electric, magnificent, perfect. Finally I'm happy!

Because if she was feeling these things for real then she wouldn't be nervous about sharing her news she'd be shouting it from the roof tops, right?

I like the air of mystery surrounding it at the moment. I'm wondering what has happened in the past that would have her nervous to tell Alice.

I have no problem with it being about her and Jacob to start with and I'll definitely stick with this.

Through the whole chapter, you had me wondering where this story was taking us...I love how you started with the proposal. And now I'm quite eager for an update! Awesome first chapter! )
