I quite like this. It's beginning to frustrate me how hard Bernard is to characterize. Nobody does it quite right unless they're directly quoting him, and I keep bringing it up in reviews but now I'm thinking, maybe it's just that you can't characterize him properly. He's just one of those characters, like Arithon s'Ffalen or Remus Lupin.
