Book girl fan 11/15/12 . chapter 1I can see why he didn't want to go to Holmes after that. Watson would understand and sympathize completely. |
Faersul 8/29/10 . chapter 1A very sad and very well-written story. |
reflekshun 8/27/10 . chapter 1I really enjoyed this story and I thank you for sharing it. |
Fiorella 2 8/26/10 . chapter 1This left me speechless. Awersome work! |
Anonymous 8/26/10 . chapter 1 No! You killed Gregson! But...but...he's the best! he can't die! It doesn't work like that! On a different note, this was wonderfully written. Now I have to go cry in a corner, but that's what you wanted, right? |
Mam'zelleCombeferre 8/25/10 . chapter 1So sad. We don't like to think about the later years of their lives, and this is something that no one could have forseen. Very sad, but so well written. I love your Lestrade, and the way he reacted seemed so in character. I'd like to punch that rude man at the bar too. |
xravenscroftx 8/25/10 . chapter 1 despressing, but gorgeous. thank you for posting! |
aragonite 8/25/10 . chapter 1 I felt sad and disheartened, and yet I couldn't make myself grieve for Gregson, who didn't want a straw death. I think I feel the most for those he left behind...and Lestrade facing the fact that there were still words left unsaid between them. So much regret. It brought a lump to my throat. |
Jedi Ani Unduli 8/25/10 . chapter 1Wow. Touching one-shot. Lestrade and Gregson may have had it out for each other, but they were still friends. I wouldn't blame Lestrade for reacting the way he did. Good job. :-D |
Falco aesalon 8/25/10 . chapter 1Aww poor Lestrade. Beating himself up over it. And at least Gregson went the way he would've watned to. *sigh* Fortunately I'm not too upset to review. But this was a great plot bunny and combined with the way you've really created personalities for the Yarders... just wow. |
Nytd 8/25/10 . chapter 1A very poignant tale. I could certainly see Lestrade struggling to maintain control of his emotions that way. Good for him for putting the thoughtless jerk in the bar in his place. I love the thought that there was understanding and friendship buried underneath the rivalry between the two inspectors, and the banter between Gregson and himself that Lestrade shares with Watson makes it all the more touching. The glipse at the relationship between Lestrade and Watson is also lovely. Nicely done! |
stupidpenname 8/24/10 . chapter 1I really happy you did post this. Great take on two bizzare relationships. |
sonofafluffymuffin 8/24/10 . chapter 1D definitely made me want to cry, that was agonizingly beautiful |
mrspencil 8/24/10 . chapter 1Absolutely spot on with this. Lestrade restrained and not entirely sure how to react himself , and a whole mixture of emotions, more touching for being manage to say a lot about both officers very effectively in this piece. Very well done, Mrs P |
FoggyKnight 8/24/10 . chapter 1Ouch, I'll bet he feels guilty for saying that now. Poor Lestrade. At least Gregson died with his boots on, doing what he loved best. Wonder what Holmes would have said? |
