I really like this story a lot! I feel that there's a lot more there than meets the eye. When she asks "you would never love me if I hated the world" it is really more like a promise to him to become someone very special, a great writer who sees how sad life is but still creates stories with hope and love in them. I think you captured a lot in a very small space!

Love this drabble! I just saw the movie and I think this drabble is spot-on! I can perfectly picture Jane Austen having dark moments. Wery well written story, I enjoyed it a lot.
