A very good fic about Margulis feelings. A very rare jewel. I really liked it. Thank you.

I couldn't resist a fic delving into the Jin/Margulis/Pellegri triangle. I enjoyed Margulis' portrayal, and hadn't considered a more loving past relationship with Jin.

At first I thought the beginning was over-descriptive, but the rest of the fic balanced the details out nicely. Some of your symbolism worked well - the emerald eyes, for example - while others seemed cliche - like the red/white cloth. I think a criticism one could make of Xenosaga in general is that it tends to throw its religious symbolism around rather haphazardly, without necessarily bringing it into an overall meaning, so I appreciated the dimension you gave religious imagery - a personal relationship/symbolism with the character. That said, none of the altar (religious) symbols seemed particularly pertinent to the story, but perhaps that wasn't your focus. You just warned about religious symbolism in the beginning, and that caught my eye.

The end is by far the best-written part, and a good clincher to everything.

Overall, well done. If I had to pick and summarize, your weakness is your usage of symbolism; your strength is your characterization and inner dialogue.
