Great fic. I love the fluff, it made my day. The part about Kate cooking (or should I say attempting to cook) dinner for Jack was so sweet. And the way you used their airport meeting place for their date was perfect. I really enjoyed reading this, though it's pretty sad to think of all that happened to their relationship after these events. Anyway, I loved it and I hope you write another fluff piece soon. :D

*blinks* OMG! Is this possible? Am I reading this alright? You actually wrote something that doesnt make its readers curl in a corner and bawl their eyes out? :p (unless we ignore the lyrics at the end *shifty*) Kidding ;) Seriously now, I love all your stories, especially the angsty/tragic ones, but this was a cute little break up.

My fave parts were:

...tossing her heels onto the back seat because she is still not used to anything more than hiking shoes and an old pair of jeans (but she does love the way Jack Is looking at her in that little black dress). - *giggle*

He sits on the hood of his car and she fits perfectly between his legs. - tnx for the visuals - awwwwww

...and he kisses her, for the first time because Jack has never kissed Kate, only kissed her back.-that was adorable and beautiful at the same time.

...and she bites her lip, embarrassed that his professional experience might let him know just how fast her heart is beating. - *giggles and melts simultaneously*

She tries to cook for him one evening and is just a bit short of causing a neighborhood fire. She spends the day at the supermarket piling up the groceries because his fridge is miserable. He tries to rationalize that he has all the food groups there, but she wins that battle because beer, mustard, bread and a fork in the fridge do not in any way equate healthy living. - adorable, really loved this part

...and she starts a fire (this time intentional). - haha

The 2nd part of the fic (Kate helping Jack rest) was amazing too. My absolutely fave was how you mirror THE words: "of course I will. Yes." and put them in a new contest.
