This was a nice idea. Nobody's really explored Shaun's character or his thought of his father's disappearances, so kudos for that. :D

"He felt so old, but so young at the same time. It left him confused" - really liked that line. I liked all of this fic. It was simple, sort of like the language of a child, but full of feeling. It was lovely how you made references to everything wrong in Shaun's life, and the way in which he mourns it: Jason, his parent's split, how he has to act older than his age.

And what a wonderful last sentence! This was really touching. Ethan does seem to have become a ghost since Jason's death, so it was great how you captured that - and also the way in which Shaun, young as he is, understands what is happening around him. I definitely got the feeling he had been forced to grow up too fast.

Lovely, fluid writing, and lots of emotion. Great stuff! :D

I'm happy to see you write another story for this fandom, but boy is this a sad one. I thought you did a great job with Shaun, and it's tragic seeing how he feels about taking care of Ethan and how their lives have changed since Jason's death. They hint at things like this in-game, but you effectively fleshed that out.

Lovely work, and that last line just hurt. Poor Shaun, and poor Ethan. :(
