Guest 2/8/13 . chapter 1 It's good that Henry realises his past mistakes. It's really sweet that he is so in love with her |
bellathedisenchanted 1/21/13 . chapter 1aww I love this. Always was disappointed in Edmund getting together with Fanny, after Mr Darcy, I did think Austen would continue her trail in bad boys reformed.:D At least your fic sates some of the disappointment heh.:) |
Light on the Horizon 12/21/12 . chapter 1Loved this! I always found Henry more interesting than Edmund, so this sort of ending was great to read and you wrote the characters well :-) |
obsessivesyndrome 11/6/12 . chapter 1Love it! Well-written and fantastic characterisation:) I think this is how Henry would be if he can truly reformed his rakish ways. I am hang up on this shipping now and I think your one-shot is the best that I had encountered. |
seghen 8/26/12 . chapter 1Excellent story! I actually really like Henry/Fanny together and I like the way you wrote this, it seems in character. |
Mariagoner 7/31/12 . chapter 1Lovely, beautiful, utterly exquisite. The genuine love you show between these two is fantastic. Great work. |
triniroo 4/10/12 . chapter 1I have just finished reading Mansfield Park and I feel you have captured the tone and the characters well. I truly enjoyed this alternate ending. It matches up to my own thoughts on what-could-have-been exactly. |
DGfleetfox 3/29/12 . chapter 1Ahh! Just found this, this was so wonderful, great, totally awesome. I wish these two would have really ended up together, the cousin thing is just weird. Nice job, Ciao :) |
linnfromia 7/16/11 . chapter 1I think you take Henry on an interesting journey in this - from triumph and possession (but it's so wonderful that someone appreciates that Fanny is a prize!) to tenderness (you describe his coddling of Fanny beautifully, her blooming, his wanting to be with her) to doubt to Fanny's steadfastness and love for Henry. Probably more precious to him because Henry now knows it wasn't always a (anachronism alert) slam dunk. Which is one of canon-Henry's less appealing qualities - his total assurance that he'll get what he wants - and so that hour of doubt makes him a more lovable and worthy man. You know ... it's perfect as is, but I'd surely love another chapter some day :) |
semantics 7/13/11 . chapter 1I sincerely appreciate the fact that this sticks to their personalites and habits so well - their characters and manners, the signifigcant objects (such as Lady Betram's pug that she endears more than her own children)... etc The ending is sweet, she loves him and he is aware (not throughly, but at least has a concept) of what she felt for Edmund or perhaps still feels. so far the best Henry/Fanny I've read :) |
NeverGoodbyeRoxas 6/15/11 . chapter 1Just lovely...the language, the emotional complexity of Henry Crawford after being confronted with Mansfield Park again...it was all so perfect. It was so tender and sweet. I only wish that there was more. |
jandjsalmon 4/16/11 . chapter 1One of my favourite pairings. This was lovely. |
xCharlie-Groupiex 4/8/11 . chapter 1I loved this ! Everything about it made me smile, from Fanny and Henry finally being wed to him finding comfort in the fact that she really loved him. Cute little oneshot. Great job on this :) xox Sacha |
L. Wrice 3/27/11 . chapter 1This story has been a find. I always thought Fanny and Henry were a stronger pair, and your story is an example of Henry's POV. |
slytherinsal 2/6/11 . chapter 1ah a ship first asked for by Cassandra Austen... I can't help feeling sorry for poor Edmund though stuck with Mary. If Henry can truly put Fanny first it can work; if he really has grown up at last. I can't help feeling - as i presume we are meant to! - that Fanny is still torn; that she loves Henry but... Fanny however will try to put that behind her, and it will only surface if she sees Edmund made unhappy by Mary. a thought provoking story. |
