I love this story! Seriously, you write the best SaiSaku stories to keep an avid fan like me happy! XD

What makes this story different from your other one, "Old Dogs, New Tricks," is that you expand the plot beyond the SaiSaku romance and really incorporate the other characters. I honestly can't imagine how this is going to end; it should really be epic.

While I love the SaiSaku romance developing here (Sai is too adorable sometimes! XD), I can't help but feel that there's going to be a significant roadblock with this recent chapter. I can understand Sakura's mood swings in the earlier chapters due to her circumstances, her stubbornness here kinda irked me. I found myself completely agreeing with Sai all throughout that conversation, and Sakura's reasoning to keep the scroll seemed pretty weak. While it isn't completely OOC for Sakura to have such logic, it just seems like an excuse for them to have their first real fight, which I can't see ending well for either of them at all. If Sakura wins, that means she would've had to have done something underhanded to beat him (she can't beat him with raw power alone; he's too stealthy and fast for that). If Sai wins, then that would just destroy Sakura. Either way, someone's trust is bound to be diminished, if not completely gone altogether.

Then again, you are a great writer, so I wouldn't be surprised if all of my above assumptions were completely wrong. LOL I'll be putting this on my Alerts, so I can read the newest chapters whenever you update! See ya then! :)

You portray each and every character so perfectly. This has all my favorites- Sai and Sakura, Shikamaru and Temari, and Neji and Tenten. This is by far my favorite story on this website. It actually gets a reaction from me. I'm actually nervous for Sai and Sakura, and I can feel how troublesome it is for Shikamaru. Death to Danzou! Update soon!

How did I just find this story? This is my third favorite pairing, aside from NejiTen and ShikaTema, and there's not much SaiSaku in the world. I love it so much!

Hey it has been a while since you have updated. so I was wondering if you will be continuing with the story.

I have to show appreciation for the way you weave other perspectives from different characters into the story. Normally, I'm chomping at the bit to get back to the two characters I'm particularly interesting in, but you write incredibly believable secondary characters.

I'm also impressed with the way you write Konoha's adults. No easy feat!

Still loving it, and I had to burst out laughing when Sakura tossed Sai through the table. Some authors when writing characters with supernatural strength forget that writing a bigger scene for shock impact, such as throwing someone through a WALL, or bringing down a building, can seem ineffective simply because it's not within our spectrum of normal capability. (as strange as that sounds...sigh). But throwing him threw a table, and splintering it felt far more realistic. You can buy a new table, but replacing the side of a building?

Tangential, I apologize.

As for notes, your pacing is excellent, and the dialogue is great. The only problem I've noticed is the tense switching. "He COULD do this...she WILL do that." Not enough to noticeably detract from the story though.

I am absolutely in love with the characterization of Sakura and most particularly Sai in this fic. I can honestly say I've never seen him done so well (let alone how much I loved your Author's note/rant in the earlier chapters concerning 'ugly,' 'hag,' and how he's unfamiliar with emotions, not emotionless. I prefer this portrayal by far, and have been looking for a Sakura/Sai fic for YEARS. This, far and away, takes the cake, and I'm considerably disappointed that you only have 262 reviews as of now. I can't believe the readers are letting this go as unnoticed. I've been on FFN for a long time (on a previous account since it's near inception) and I know a good, eloquently written, elegantly detailed fic when I see one. I cannot wait to read more, and am happy to see that you are still posting as recently as March '12. When I'm finished with this I will most assuredly be moving on your other fics. But for now, onward with this wonderful story. I'll try to be less gushy on the next reviews.

The best part has definitely got to be Shikamaru's reaction on finding out that Kakashi knew about his predicament. I imagined that scene so vividly in my head. It wouldn't be a decent Naruto fan fic if you didn't have Kakashi and the other jounins stirring up the pot.
