| Amilyn 4/2/12 . chapter 3 I still have the B&tB cassette as well. And, oh, yes, re: Ron Perlman's voice. They're JUST the right age and Angela would have LOVED it. I love that Maura is a little embarrassed about speaking German (she would, though, eh, going to a Swiss boarding school? They'd certainly have taught both French and German?). I love that Jane recognized it as German. And that they're accepting each of the other as their own first best-best friend. Also, it's hilarious that Jane threatens Maura with Target and that it'll be Walmart if she complains. I also loved Jane siccing Angela on Maura. This is lovely. |
| Amilyn 4/2/12 . chapter 2 Jane's self-flagellation and conviction that ALL of this is ALL her fault is so in character; she wants so much to be in control all the time and can't handle not being...and this beautiful scene where she lets Maura into that thinking is so well done. I love Maura's lifting her chin and saying, yes, she'd take this guy on...and I love her asking for range lessons. |
