Oh wow, I love this. Dante tries to suppress/control his demonic side, but it's still there, no matter what. The little girl's perspective is fascinating, as though she knows he's a predator, no matter how much he fights it. Dante is definitely something that frightens children, and maybe that's the saddest thing of all. Excellent piece. :D

Not bad. A little short, a little vague, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it works for this story - I'd almost like to see the follow-up on this idea, if only because I don't think it's been done before without going overboard, and this is rather nicely balanced.

This is excellent. I really enjoyed this negative view of our demon heroes. Gets my mind thinking.

But I've got to wonder, did Annie think about the fact that demons may just not be evil incarnate since humans have committed atrocities just as evil as any demon's crimes? ;D

Very interesting point of view. I guess we don't see Dante from the enemies eyes. It a great idea!It reminds me of the episode "In Private" from the DMC anime series! Hope you keep going with the great idea. :D
