The truly non-sexual way in which the first four kisses occurred - okay, occurred without serious attraction, seemed so very apropos. And as I read the majority of 'Five', I was prepared for him to kiss her as a 'goodbye' - thus, the profession of love threw me. Still, I could see the fool (two wives, affair/s) confusing himself into believing he actually truly *loved* Raydor. I like the insights you have given into her personality, her world.
