I love the way you touch on the concept of the little things as being so important. So often the focus is on the major events and the seemingly insignificant ones are left by the wayside. I have always believed that, at the end of the day, it's the little things that stick with you the most and you've illustrated this in a beautiful way.

Sweet. Very sweet and touching...hopeful, too. The idea of the story is so true, and it can apply to so much. As for the writing, wonderful! You're such a good writer - I can see what you're writing about, and your words leave an impression. Hm. That was kind of cliche, but hey, it's true. :) Keep writing!
