I was amazed at seeing Emmett in viking times and was surprised to see that you wrote a companion piece for it...I enjoyed seeing both Emmett's and Rose's POV of this tale and am so happy that it won in the contest...

What a sweet tale of love between Rose and Emmett. I loved her sense of confusion and the fact that she could see the good even in such a bad situation.

Oh, I loved this! I felt immediately taken back in time...I could see and feel this place, so long ago, as soon as I started reading. You really captured the essence of a simpler time, when basic needs and practicality were the focus of everyday life. The instant attraction-"the spark that was lit"-between Emmett and Rosalie was that much more profound against this austere backdrop. I loved how he was instantly protective of her, and that she recognized the seed of compassion within him in spite of what he did "for a living," so to speak. I love that inevitability in a romantic tale. Makes me want to read the companion story! Great job!
