|Reviews for Almost Too Late|
| The Dark Eccentric 12/24/12 . chapter 1
Wow, and that was reaaallly good. Quite enjoyed that story. No words. Love the romance, and hearing her thoughts on all these things. Did you do one for Owen showing the opposite side?
Also I hadn't read the book so I don't know but...you said when the vampire turned Abby he also "took her innocence"...do you mean rape?
But back to it. Great story. I'll be reading more of yours over the next couple weeks likely. Keep up the good work.

Wow! Yeah, I guess that your reviews are nothing compared to your chapters! You have such an eye for detail, it seems more proffesional than anything else. I am definitely going to check out this film though. I loved the moment between Owen and Abby. I can't honestly think of any critism except perhaps, you could add more stuff about Owens point of view? I mean, I know that Abby is without a doubt your main character- so I figure that that is why it is mainly her perspective. But it would be highly interesting to see Owen's initial thoughts of her and how he feels about turning like her. Does he embrace it? But overall- pretty darn good. You better keep- writing. You're on my favorite author list! xxx

So I read "Almost Too Late," and wow, I really loved it in its entirety. One of the things I feel that both movies AND the novel really, really fail on is the lack of detail and more development of the pool scene. You ABSOLUTELY nailed this scene. I really, really loved the level of detail you put into this scene because, in my opinion, its such an important part of Abby/Owen (Eli/Oskar)'s relationship. Abby says earlier on that she'll help him if hitting back doesn't work. This scene is her not only making good on that promise, but saving his life. I don't understand the people who think Owen will just become another "blood-getter" for Abby. Even if the movie somehow got you thinking about this, the pool scene completely changes that.
I've always tried to envision about that moment when Owen looks up and sees Abby standing there in front of him. The thoughts going through his mind, the emotion.. I always wanted to read/see someone's version of this, to see what Owen's first words would be. You really, really nailed this.
I also really enjoyed how you presented it as a flashback. I feel that by doing that, its easier to get "inside the head" of Abby. After seeing the world from her eyes, its easy to see how she and Owen arrived where they are in March of 1983.
Please keep writing!

Its great to see a long LMI story here, not enough of either LTROI or LMI stories here yet but hopefully there will be more.
This was a good long story that fit the film as well and thats very good on a first story. You should write more and see if you can bring in some new fans and inspire other writers.

Hello TorontoBatFan, it's good to see new people posting stories for the movie LMI, of course some stories for the original film would be nice, anyway just wanted to welcome you to this section of fanfiction. i loved your story and the plot, keep the good work flowing and don't stop, too many authors here have started some stories and just stopped for lack of reviews.
