Reader-anonymous 7/22/11 . chapter 27Look, it's gone. Must have been a fluke. Or muggle machinery. - James Potterson just swallowed the pills. Hope they will not think much about it. Look, if a person hides, runs away from his friends, chasing him will not help, he will feel like he is put in a cage.
Where can he be? she thought to herself angrily. - Where people don't expect him to fit their expectation and carry whole nation's problems on his shoulders.
Should I have admitted to being Harry? Did I do the right thing? - You did the right thing. It wasn't right for Hermione to force you out of hiding. If you just left him your contact information and went away, telling him 'Harry or James, Potter or not, contact me whenever you want', it would be easier.
But they laughed at the real James. The real Harry. - What did you expect? You shouldn't have swallowed the pills if you wanted to prove them reality of magic. You should have used mind arts to show them your memories.
He should be back by now. - You have the gall to speak as if he has some duty, some obligation to do whatever you expect him to do.
He wouldn't go back to the world where he was abused and teased and misunderstood. - Now, now, not all muggles abuse him, and wizards and their press treated him much worse, told that he is a glory-seeking hound, next Dark Lord, cheater, liar, and more.
What gave Harry the right to just get up and leave everything behind? To make Hermione so sad? - You don't have any idea how sad James is. How guilty he feels for the deaths in the war. How he blames magic, his own included, for deaths of so many innocent people, who were defenceless against powerful wizards. How he thinks that if he was really as powerful as he is claimed to be, he should have eliminated Voldemort much faster, instead of helping him in resurrection. How he wants to be normal, instead of extraordinary.
And the very first thing I'll do when I find him is knock some sense into him, hard. - Some sense. What kind of sense? I know he could bring more positive change to the world than just a teacher at a school, but if he returns to magical Britain, he will automatically become a dictator, as the most powerful wizard, the best-known one, the Savior, and so on.
By the way, since Horcrux is already destroyed, why cannot Harry heal the scar? And all other scars, too? And use nutritional potions to grow up higher and become more difficult to recognize? And is there no way to heal his eyes, and probably change color of eyes? I know he cannot just go and buy it ready-to-use because somebody would mention it, but buying large number of books, dark or not, and potion ingredients to brew potions by himself, might allow him to permanently change his appearance, so that even with his magic supressed there would be no way others would recognize him. And research spells on the Map looking up the person's name, to figure out the way to magically change name.
Spy Sphere - Violation of privacy!
When he was little, he had his identity formed for him. He was Harry Potter, famous at the age of one, to be pitied, awed, and revered. He was to avenge his parents, vanquish evil, and save the world. When he broke away from all that, he created a new identity for himself. He was James Potterson, a teacher, who had a good sense of humor, a loyal set of friends, and a quiet life. He enjoyed being around people and had a reputation for being even tempered. - Whoever you are, you have right to do whatever you want to do, without reporters stalking you.
If only James had a clever wise snake to converse with, he would have felt better with himself, he would be able to converse with her freely, and nobody would be able to overhear him, while non-wizards would consider hissing to snake just a game, or joke about scientists learning language of dolphins.
I need to know when Harry will be alone so we can approach him. - Stalkers. I hope he will not be alone. Just seeing you would give him a panic attack.
Can I meet Harry Potter if you find him? It will be an early Christmas present. - Harry James Potter is just an object for you, your personal belonging. You speak as if he has no free will. I know he feels guilty and you can persuade him to do anything, but it isn't right. He has already sacrificed too much, cannot you allow him freedom? He will return when he wants to return.
I have created this plan perfectly. Nothing is wrong with it. - Know-it-all! Bossy enforcer!
I've planned something where he can never deny who he is and he'll have to join our world again. You'll see, he'll come back. - It's worse than placing a person under Imperio.
As in the Harry we know and love - If you love him, leave him in peace, otherwise he will not be in one piece, in his confusion meeting you will not be bliss, even if he does his old friends miss, let him think for himself, please.
a flawless design to make Harry rejoin our world. - 'To make' is the key word. You are forcing Harry into something unpleasant, otherwise he wouldn't have left it.
He can't keep blaming me for what happened. Once he realizes that it was a complete mistake, he'll come back. - He doesn't blame her. He blames himself. And he doesn't want to return to magical world, with prejudices, conservatism, despotism, stalking, and lacking freedoms.
Congratulations, you rescued the savior of the wizarding world, Harry Potter, from his life of happiness, to bring him home to a world he abhors. - Exactly my sentiments.
I cannot understand how after all this James is still going to make peace with them, to live with them, to consider them his friends. But then, recklessness is typical for Gryffindors, and thoughtfullness is mostly Slytherin quality. And Draco is dead, and Severus Snape isn't even mentioned. So I shouldn't be surprised by this reckless illegal escapade and continuous multiple privacy violations.
Good luck. |
