I think James is just who Anton and Patty need, a driving force to help them overcome the obstacles in their way, such as Margaret. James really put her in her place, didn't he? :) Nicely done!

I don't usually comment on stories, but I really love this and wanted to let you know. I have loved Summer of my German Soldier since I first read it in third grade because of my own mixed heritage (my mother is German and my father is Jewish). I was also disappointed in the sequel, as I felt that Patty's emotions, especially regarding Roger, weren't realistic. Thank you so much for writing sequels that are well written and engaging. Please keep it up!

Ah does that idea have to do with James? And I think Margaret broke something outside of Anton's room. And Patty seems to be going in the right direction, James helped her clearly see what she wants.
