I think I'm confused. When is this story set? Is this season 6 or season 5? If it's season 6, then I'm sorry but neither Sam nor Castiel have any right to demand anything from Dean, considering they both left him behind for a year. Actually, even if it's season 5, he who sneaks around with demons and lies to his brother's face doesn't exactly have the right to make demands on Dean and berate him for not being considerate of his feelings. It seems like a Dean's-so-mean, Sam's-a-martyr moment, especially in the face of the line that Dean never cared about anything Sam did that wasn't hunt-related. We already know that's not true, so I'm guessing it was a Sam-being-a-drama-queen line.

Also, I'm confused as to who wants whom and why. First, I thought this was a Sam/Castiel story, with the stroking and the missing Castiel bit. Then Castiel wants Dean and then Sam does, but of course Dean's the worst person in the world so he doesn't appreciate either of them. Then Sam gets Dean and all of the sudden we couldn't care less how Castiel feels? Neither of the brothers seems particularly in character, or particularly likeable in this. So, maybe they do deserve each other. I'm sorry to be so neagtive, because I think you have a good premise. It just didn't work for me in execution.
