This is amazing! The details were simple yet lifting with that touch of Suzaku.

Uahhh! Great, just great-I think I may love you, really. I kinda imagined what would be this medical problem -but mainly coz I kept wondering if they did not remember, and how could it be possible- but even having thought about it didn't make it less shocking and cute. Great job, really.

I see why you never finished this story. I loved it, but I don't really think it needs more of a plot. That would be kind of random, wouldn't it? The title of the fic is "breathing" so it makes sense that it should end here, focused on Ryuuen's disease. Anyway, this was pretty incredible writing. I'm so glad I managed to find it. It's been a while since I read a fushigi yuugi fanfic and I was in the mood for a good cry. lol.

/sniff sniff/ That was so sad... but really so~ good (because I'm an angst-addict)! I really enjoyed reading that and thought that the fic was really well written - a well written fic with a good plot and it's a *Hotohori and Nuriko* no less! Can't get any better than that. ^_~

God! I read the first six chapters of this fic on KOTWAS about a year ago and CRIED because i couldn't finish it. And now i got to finish it, and i CRIED again! This story is beautiful... i hate to sound corny, but it's heartwarming. You write so well!

It's a good story. I've actually read up to chapter 10, but there's something wrong with either this computer or that chapter, because I couldn't review on it...
The beginning (of the first chapter) is kind of confusing, but I figured it out after a couple chapters...

I really do like how you handled the return of the memories... and really, a lot of what you said about Nuriko makes sense. ^_^ He was strong, but... out of all of them, he was the most sensitive. I mean, look at how he handled Kourin's death? Another death of someone close to him would have devestated him!

Great story. It's really cute how Chiriko is Mitsukake and Shouka's son, except for some reason I keep picturing him as the kid from PSME because of the bowl cut.

That outtake was hilarious! Of course the story was good as usual but I actually managed to spot a grammar mistake! You are no longer by object of worship... jk.

I have a question: Is Nuriko still crossdressing? The high ponytail thing threw me off. I think of that as a girlish hairstyle I guess.

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! I so totally did NOT see that coming. When I first stumbled upon this fic, I thought all I needed to prepare myself for was some heart wrenching sap, but this is SO much more than that! You've taken the original plot-line, and (like a good author) twisted it around to fit your story, and then twisted the combined lot into something that has really piqued my interest.

Why does everyone need to remember their pasts? What exactly is is going to happen? And are Genrou and Houjun going to get together? I've noticed a few hints tossed in that direction, but nothing that loudly screams, "THESE TWO ARE A COUPLE!"

He he he. I'm looking forward to more soon.

Anyway, enough bitching - it's time to review this wonderful chapter while ff.net is semi-functional! Ryuen, this was outstanding! The scenes from Ryuuen's past - the wonderful justification for his existence as Kourin, the death of Saihitei's mother, and the aborted garden scene - they were fabulous details added to Nuriko's past life!

And Saihetei's memories of loving Nuriko only as a friend - very powerful and appropriate.

I absolutely ADORED the closing lines to this chapter - no, not gooey sap - just pure, wonderful, succinct Love.

I can't wait for Part 2! Great job! Ja ne!
