You know, I read the first chapter, and I was thinking, 'oh, look, Aragorn's dead and there's no lover's reunion. I must destroy this author' But then, I was also thinking this piece was a stand alone, but thank you so very much for doing this and having a happy ending. I do love happy endings.

This is a great fanfiction at its best! This is an AU type right? Cuz didn' Merry or Pippin get married? And they all lived in the Shire for a while. Then Frodo and Sam were at the Undying Lands, so they wouldn't die. Unless they knocked their heads on something sharp there and i didnt hear abt it. _ But, this was so well written that I dont care.

*sniffle* I cried, this is so beautiful. I hate the thought that the Fellowship would be forever separated. This is truely a magnificent piece.

This is a very good fanficlet, but unfortunately, Men don't go to Mandos. The Halls of Mandos are only for Elves.

Sorry, I meant your *next* chapter. I don't know why I wrote "last". Anyway, while I debated reviewing again to clarify that (which as you can see I did decide to do) I looked up a better description of the Halls of Mandos for you.

"In a sable hall sat [Mandos], and he called that hall with his own name. It was lit only with a single vessel placed in the center, wherein there lay some gleaming pale drops of Silpion."

The reason Mandos is in brackets is because I'm taking this from a very old version when his name was Vefantur. Silpion is another name for Telperion, the silver Tree of Light.

You also might want to mentions the weavings of Vaire - weren't they hung on the walls and described all that ever took place in time?

This is beautifully written, but very confusing. I'm not sure to what extent you're trying to make this AU. Because your charecterization is spot on (except regarding Boromir, whose death pained Aragorn so much) and most of the facts you have are correct. But I think that your fic would be greatly benefited by either an author's note explaining why you are disregarding vital parts of canon or some sort of explanation in the fic. Because the mortality of men is so vital, and there's never been any indication of them going to the Blessed Realm/Undying Lands/Aman/Valinor. Damn, lot of names for that place. Anyway.

Also, you have this one line that says that Pippin died a few days before he left Gondor, which just makes me think... erm. That's impressive.

But other then that (although it is a big That - I felt so pulled out of the story by it) I loved the way you portrayed Aragorn's sorrow, especially with regards to Merry and Pippin. His friendship with them wasn't that developed during LotR (it was all Frodo for him) yet it was implied by the history given. Great job with that! Despite everything, I look forward to reading your last chapter.

Oh, and hope this helps... the halls of Mandos were "vast mansions" in an otherwise deserted shore, facing the Encircling Seas and the Walls of Night.

I love it, its so sweet! When everyone parted their seperate ways at the end of LOTR it was too sad an ending, I like how you've brought them all together again, even boromir. Will Arwen be joining him soon?

V. cool story! I'm working on a story right now that deals with Aragorn's death from Arwen's point of view. Are you going to keep going with everyone hanging out in the Halls of Mandos? I hope so. Cheers.
