Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed this! Sorry I didn't find it sooner. I love "Castle" and have been especially intrigued with Esposito and his backstory ever since the episode when we learned about Thornton. I thought you addressed that and what Kate learned about her mentor very well in this story. I do think Esposito and Ryan both care about her the way brothers would, and Esposito kinda seems like the big brother who would need to make sure Kate was alright. Great story, thanks for sharing it!

What an awesome connection! I never thought of that. This was a fantastic scenario and written totally in character for both of them. As much as we all like for Castle to be there for Kate, this was one time when Javi really had the inside track. Excellent!
