I've read a few "What is Voldemort wins?" fics in my time, but never have I seen one as poignant or well thought out as this. Good job.

I prefer you doing angst (not you ever really do much else) you never descend to the level of sheer ' i hate myself'. your prose is exquisite. And now I sound like a patronising art critic - which i'm not. anyhoo, it's great, i love, when you get time (if?) write a sequel - though don't make Snape save her - it's been done (though badly, mostly!)

You are a truly great author - your fics have made me re-think a lot of things about Slytherin house - like your Pansy fic. I love Pansy now - congratulations for that as well. All that prejudice against Slytherins... it was there, but I couldn't see it... until now.

I would continue in the same vein for a while longer, but reality is calling, and I have to go.

I personally love this plotbunny. Sometimes you got to consider, yes, what if Voldemort *did* win for a while? Ahem, folks, let's be realistic... kudos to you for tackling an idea of this magnitude. No doubt it's difficult to write, but it's still something more people should consider.

Ahem. Not that I'm done being hypocritical...

For the first person characterisation, I think it was done well. Goodness knows it doesn't sound like the Hermione *we* know, but it does sound like one of the many ways Hermione might go if faced with this situation. (She's such an adaptable character; she can become just about anything.) It's also very like the girl we know to start on a long and philosophical train of thought like this. (Scary. She even *thinks* in perfectly constructed grammar. Aagh!)

But they have no hope, none at all. But once again, I’m not going to sympathize. I don’t have the time, energy, or the heart to sympathize anymore. They accuse us of the terror that inundates their lives. They complain and whine why we didn’t do anything to stop Voldemort.

Well, excuse me.

Didn’t we sacrifice our best and brightest?

Didn’t we watch our comrades fall down one by one?

They had asked us to do something, anything, that they would reimburse us if we could just get rid of Voldemort. But they can’t. Can’t ever pay us back.

This was, like all your other fics, incredible. I have fallen in love with your Pansy, but the problem with that is you do not have an inexhaustible amount of time to write about her (damn you for that!) and no one else writes her like you do. The same goes for every other character you ever write about *sighs* I suppose I'll just have to read all your stories again..and again..and again. -Keep writing, you're unbelievable.
