Serulene 2008-10-04 ch 64,	abuseI just realized that I did not post a review to THE fic. I mean, this is the story that started it all, as you so adequately put on its summary. Very amusing to see the avid fangirls-turned-authors educated in the subtle way of LOTR fanfiction writing; and how to stay canon enough satisfy the characters themselves. Really, I love LOTR category of this site very much, but some of the fics here does devalue the whole LOTR fanfictions with their thoughtless plots(if there is any) and charaterization. It's getting harder and harder to find real gems amongst these bad fics. Some concerned authors and readers come out and outright say it; how they abhor Marysue and so on. But I think your way is even better, subtly reminding that just because you can conjoin a few words doesn't mean you are a writer, and that you've got to at least read the original trillogy to write any decent LOTR fanfic, without aggrievating anyone, and with humor. And of course, a bit of romance for the underpreciated character did not hurt, either. Added a spice to the story, me thinks.

I am beyond overjoyed that you came up with the idea in the first place. I bow humbly at your feet. (And the Headmaster's too.) I won't try to explain why all the following ideas were my favourite parts, as the other reviewers will have listed them already. Sauron/Morgoth feud Gimli/Lina (finally Gimli gets some loving) Toey (I blame him out loud now whenever I typo) Mini-Balrogs (I want to adopt one) Stampedes that always fail GrammarBootCamp The subjects- Dating in Middle-Earth 101? Evil Minions? Brilliant. The Witch-Wall (what a perv, in a weirdly adorable kind of way) And many others. Congratulations, Miss Cam, great and honoured creator of the OFU.
