Oh, I really like this. I think it's hard to make modern AUs work in this fandom, but this is excellent. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this.

Have I mentioned how much I love this story? I love it, I really do. It's so refreshing and nice to see a fanfic where Claude isn't just using or manipulating Alois, at least from the looks of it so far. I can't believe I'm going to associate such a notion with Claude, but it was sweet of him at the end to remain on the line while Alois wept instead of just hanging up.

And Alois, oh man, the poor kid. Even in AU he gets screwed over. Dx I'm already hoping for a happy ending with this kid, but who knows, you're the author. Whatever you do, I'm sure it'll be fabulous.

This fic is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Alois's dialogue is quite addicting and funny, a great contrast with Claude's blunt and ever so serious dialogue. I cannot wait for a next chapter! :)

most of the alois/claude fics I've read are really depressing, and mainly one sided, with Alois in love with Claude, and Claude manipulating him.

But this is really interesting- I like the way you still make Alois kinda psycho and unstable, but also very approachable.

I'm really glad that there's something like this out there, because I like alois/claude SO much, and they deserve more fanfiction.

I could have sworn I reviewed this! Apparently not.

I didn't think I would enjoy an AloisxClaude fic as much as I did with this one. I love your characterization of Alois in this AU setting. The reader really gets that sense of hopelessness yet strength from him - he doesn't crumple and fall to his misery, but continues on with a lack of interest for his own well being. Very much like how I'd imagine him to act before Claude came along. ;)

I enjoy the realistic and humorous narrative of the story. I like how this isn't some romanticized fic. Example - when Alois and Claude were having sex in the car, and Alois thumped the horn by accident, setting it off. It just made the moment all the more imaginable, better, even relatable, in a sense. :) I love it.

Your writing is very addicting and I find myself quite entranced by it. I shall be looking forward to more! You're such a great author.
