Wow, this keeps getting better and better! Here comes the drama...Huy fired from his position as High Priest...being one of the first to see Moses return...BRILLIANT!

WOW. Huy freed Tzipporah? What a twist! And I don't think that I would have been able to knock out someone with a tray...Rachael is tougher than she appears! This is going among my favorite stories!

Ahem! So sorry...

Okay, my adoration for the comedy in this chapter mirrors my dislike of the scene in the movie! In a way, I think that this shouldn't fall under drama...it should almost be humor. But I guess most of the humor does come from the priests, and they are important to the story here and in the movie. The movie wasn't a comedy, and I believe that this story does, and continue to, have serious tones.

My one complaint is a comment you made about Rameses being arrogant. I don't think he really was in the movie. I think that his tragic flaw was his desire to live up to his father's expectations. But this is told from the perspective of the priests, and if they see him as arrogant, that's fine. They are, ironically, even more arrogant than those with positions better than theirs.

I do think that the line, "I'm so upset!" was pretty weak. I uploaded a Prince of Egypt fan fic today, and I included the lecture and the scene where they get drenched in wine. I did include that line, but I think that later...

(Oops, getting off topic again.)

I love how you used Huy's guilt to cover up the lameness of his retort to the princes. (In my story, I'm going to give both of the priests redeeming qualities, but in different ways.)

I can't wait for more! (Actually, the dinner scene is my least favorite scene in the movie...but I can stomach it okay. Oh, my gosh, I am so punny! "Dinner"..."stomach"...)

Good, I'm glad that the priest you are going to give positive qualities to is Huy. I like him better than Hotep. And this is not a result of my fiery, passionate hatred for Steve Martin, who voices Hotep and stars in movies that are the bane of my existence...

Ahem! Sorry, getting off topic. Still, this is very well-written. "I think we are entitled to some gloating." I think that's just classic comedy, right there.

Hmmm...I thought I'd get into the Passover spirit by reviewing some Prince of Egypt stories...I have to admit, this is a great concept. I know that this would not have worked in a movie, but still...here, anything is possible.
