Loved this to pieces! Their characterisations were spot on throughout. I especially enjoyed that it was all from Lisbon's perspective. I know that sounds lame - I loved the point of view most, haha? - but really, it just worked, to have Jane be the Other, the Unknowable, and relate Lisbon's worryings and befuddled feelings for him. It was a nice touch. :)

Very nice ending too! :) So much UST it was almost unbearable, haha. :) Though of course I wasn't expecting any kisses, it was very romantic even without one.

Oh my! You might have seen a pattern in my reading of your stories (I'm going for the M rated ones first, hey, I did say I love sexy times. Bonus points, remember?) but I saw this one rated T but dealing with episode 3x08 and I had to read it talready. I loved the episode, and really, I loved it more about what we saw of Lisbon than Jane...

When she said the bit about how if it was red john again then he was coming back I felt my heart break right then and there! And I didn't have anyone to comment the episode with at the time because my sister was a little behind...

I loved how you wrote Lisbon in this fic, it's so HER. It was so obvious through the whole episode how scared she was for his well being... And I understand her, after he took him already once, how can they be sure that he won't take him tomorrow? They just can't.

This guy is really scary, he has someone everywhere... I have this theory that he has to be some kind of mentalist himself... All these people kiling at his will, covering for him, willing to die for him... I don't know it seems kind of weird...

Oh, on another note...

Auch, I loved it. He's saying SO much without actually saying anything...

I finally remembered to put you on author alert after all this time. That way, I won't miss when you post gems like this. Nicely done. I love how you managed to move them forward without actually resolving anything. I enjoyed it very much.

Another excellent story, though I thought it was the beginning of something epic and was rather disappointed to get to the end to see that it was the end with no chapters to follow *hint hint*. Oh well, life is full of disappointments lol.

*raises hand* I was one of those people who felt we could've learnt more about Jane in that episode! And this has left me smiling, because I needed some of these issues to be addressed. Especially Lisbon's distress, I wanted just something of a Jane reaction on that particular fact (however little, I needed it!), since he must have noticed it.

You know what absolutely amazes me? How you're able to watch an episode like 3x08 and then consequently, about 5 days later, have an entire 6000 word fic finished, and have it be THIS good. While knowing that school is probably stressing you out and taking up all of your time...in all honesty, it is awe-worthy. I bow to you.

I very much enjoyed the flow of this, the seriousness of it all interspersed with familiar banter and sweet, sincere moments. You write these two so well. Especially Lisbon, I enjoyed her being all introspective on this occasion. Testament to your skill is the fact that practically the first third of this fic is written without any dialogue whatsoever. And it almost seems to compel readers, it draws you in because it's powerful.

"The tiny but noticeable alterations to his usual persona remind her that by extension Jane is Red John's victim too, possibly his most vulnerable one."

I LOVE this line. Just needed to point that out, because it so perfectly describes exactly what Jane is; he's Red John's ultimate victim because he's still alive for him to play with.

My absolute favourite part is the ending, without a doubt. The last lines melted me. And you know, I could totally SEE him in his car on her block. Love. Love. Love.

I know I may be losing all credibility by now, since I basically never give anything but praise for your stories, but I can't help it. You've yet to disappoint me and I only wish we could see some of this on the show.
