Ouch. It's sad to see such a clever and manipulative and strong character like Azula cracked and broken and shattered until she's become something like this. Lost. Mad. Scared. A child.

Pitiful. Most wouldn't even give that much.

You definately have a talent for the creepy and harrowing. I love how Zuko still is trying to care for her, but she's just gone isn't she? It's so sad. Mistaking her brother for Lu Ten, I so did not see that coming. The last mental picture of Zuko holding his broken sister is heartbreaking. I am really loving your fics.

Harrowing, but well done. I always overlook the fact that she's gone, you know? most people thing Azula's still lucid.

Well, that was cheerful. Not. But it was a rather interesting character study- and I like the way you portray her as regressing to childhood. Crazy, certainly, but I think the childhood is a good portrayal of her after she goes nuts...

This is really a heartwrenching sort of story - because love her or hate her, no one is gloating over the way Azula ended up.

And I love the little peek you give us at that, and the little bit about Zuko talking to her in the way he reserves only for loved ones, just gives us a wonderful insight into his relationship with her. She might have been awful, but she's still his baby sister.

The comparison with Lu Ten was unexpected, but not in a negative way. I kind of liked it.

This was a lovely read.
