I love your portrayal of Alex. It's great! :)
splitDEVOTION 5/1/12 . chapter 1
Gah! I did not know you wrote for Song of the Lioness! This is remarkable intriguing though it's so short. Hope you haven't abandoned this
Unicorns by moonlight 3/30/12 . chapter 1
This is really good! You should write the other chapters! PLEASE!

This is really good. I never thought about Alex and Alanna as a pair, but you make their personalities work well. Also, this is exactly how I think Alanna would turn out if she'd gone to the convent. I hope you continue, although this does stand on it's own quite well.

i love pancakes. and this seams realy realistic. while not the situation but the personalitys. i personly think alanna would have ran awaw rather than go to a convent. please continue this
craizypet 6/28/11 . chapter 1
i like it. it makes sense to me, lol! i always felt quite unhappy with alex dying, and him having no part in things, such as making his own life, or us getting a better look into his character.

This is a very interesting take on the "Alanna goes to the convent" story. I like how you characterized Alex, making him likable but still a bit of a prick, and I like that you went the realistic route and had Jonathan die in the Sweating Sickness. I also very much enjoyed how Alanna was still familiar in the girl who grew up in a vastly different environment. I hope you continue this, as it's very good.

Also, "Come with me on an adventure?" That's adorable.

Very different way to look at Alanna. I liked it.

"Dance Inside" also just happens to be one of my favorite songs . . . Awesome.
Itarille Celebrindal 1/7/11 . chapter 1
Very intriguing! I like that you take Convent!Alanna in a realistic direction, with Jon being dead and Alanna finishing at the convent, but not losing her basic personality traits (and not suddenly being omggorgeousAlanna!). I actually even like your Alex, and that's saying a lot, lol. Can't wait to see more!
The Disappeared 12/6/10 . chapter 1
I LOVE TAMORA PIERCE'S BOOKS! And her strong female characters. (Hence the pen name) So I am REALLY excited for this fic! It's interesting to read an alternate version of events too. And I did always wonder what happened to Alex. I still don't understand what he wanted in the last book when he bowed to Roger instead of saying anything. I've agonized over that one for years. Do you get it? Anyways, great job and KEEP WRITING! :)

I think I just fell a little bit in love.

Or maybe a lot.

Yeah.

Wow. I thought I loved your work before but damn, you have thoroughly surprised me. I loved the Alanna series and it's great to find such a well written and enticing story as this. The ending is very well done especially. You leave it open to more, but it is still a cleanly finished story.

Thank you very much.

I've been in love with Tamora Pierce's books since my early middle school days, especially her Kel and Alanna series, so when I saw this I was like, "Ooh, sweet!"

I'm a George/Alanna girl through and through, so I'm not sure I'll be able to get on board with Alex/Alanna, but I'm willing to try. Seems interesting so far, and you've got the two characters down pretty well. Although I suppose Alanna submitting to her fate to go to the convent is OOC to begin with. :P Like the witty lines you give her - "shall I entertain you with riveting tales of embroidery?"

Keep going - I'll be following. And no worries about Jon; he was always...okay, but never a favourite.

This is fascinating. I haven't read much Lioness fic (since the books kinda stand on their own for me), but I like this story concept and your writing is always enjoyable. 3
