This is a great introduction for what sounds like a very promising story. Please dont leave it hanging, write more. I want to know what the presence that was dark and there is, I want to know how Layla gets past being called a witch or if she does, I want to know if she ever speaks with the Ellcrys. So many questions that are left to be answered from such a short bit of writting. Wonderful start, I look forward to more.
