Oh, this is so lovely! How Alex can deceive herself. I love the way you write her continuing series of excuses, while we know all the time that she is in denial. Your writing is gloriously descriptive, too, especially the description of Gene's smile, which made me go all melty inside. Delicious!

Your Alex in this is extraordinary, I love how you have written her trying to full herself. I'm not particularly christmassy, but for a mistletoe moment with Gene I would give my left leg for the festive tradition.

omgggggg! I loved it so much! I'm in such a christmassy mood atm thats what drew me to this fic and now im almost annoyed that i've finished reading it! Normally i would say please write more etc etc except this is such a beautiful one shot i don't wanna read more just in case its ruined (not suggesting you'd ruin it lol but just in case)
