Zelotia 6/7/06 . chapter 1
Wow! Wonderful.

'Stars' is one of my favourite songs from Les Mis and Inspector Javert is my favourite character!

I read this a while ago, before I knew the tune of 'stars' and before I knew the story of the star 'Sirius' so I didn't really get it, but, what do you know, English yesterday morning uncovered the tale of Loki and Idun, and I dug out our own album of Lis Mis and listened to 'stars' over and over again.

Anyway, I loved that, really well written. One thing I will just pick you up on, I might have mis read it, but I would have thought Mrs. Black would never marry a muggle? I think you said that Sirius' father was a muggle astromaner (however you spell it!).

Otherwise, great! I look forward to more Lis Mis fics!

Aha, so Polaris DOES have conscience, somewhere. It's always heart-wrenching to read these stories about Sirius from others' PoVs. I feel like I want to yell at the characters that he's innocent.

Me? Too involved in the stories? Never...

The Javert song fitted in very well. I wouldn't have thought of that, but now you mention it, it's definitely a good one. And I'm going to keep that Nietzsche quote. It's brilliant.

So overall, I adore this. Yep.

We love this story! It's nice to find a well-thought out POV from an OC who isn't the lost love of a canon character (Esp. if it's Sirius) or a Mary-Sue. Cassandra once read a story by a Rhiannon that had Sirius's little brother Polaris, are you thinking of it? All we know is that we think it's been taken down.

Didn't mean to delay this long in posting a review, but claimed I already had and refused to let me. (Leaving an unsigned review just didn't occur to me, I'm dumb.)

Verrry nice real start to this character, and you write her so that it's all too plausible she fits in. Historical anecdotes a plus too. Good work. Write more. Of everything.

wow. excellent story. there are so few stories from the POV of Sirius's friends after his "betrayal" and imprisonment...it's good to know that the ones out there are excellent

You know, I just read chapter 7 of Not all scars are visible and was going to praise you there, but I was,as other reviewer, just a little bit afraid that Black's sister could become Mary Sue later on. Well, after reading this story, I am not worried any more. It looks like your Polaris Black will be a very interesting character. (I hope she will soften towards her brother later on, though). Wonderful job. I love this song from Les Miserables too.

Wow. I don't usually read Sirius fics (he's Faith's boy, not mine), but this caught my eye (along with the author), and I'm damn glad I read it. A very interesting point-of-view, haunted and sorrowful, with the characters' history all woven in. I had random music playing on WinAmp, and Sarah McLachlan's 'Adia' came on, and I was caught in this rare moment of mood with the story.

Oh, and I know it's not a big thing, but I really like the idea of Sirius and Polaris' dad being a Muggle astronomer. It's just...neat.

Very *very* enjoyable piece of work. Brava. :)
