Very confusing for me... and yet i love it(And when french people love, it's forever)! Aww! That was so sweet! I love this idea - the pairing had never occurred to me. But you're right. Surak had to get the idea and the strength from somewhere.

I always kind of wondered how Surak did it. Remember how Spock described ancient Vulcan when he was 5000 years in the past? It was feedback along the low level telepathic link that made him lose control when he was many light years away from Vulcan. If the link is that influential, how did Surak overcome the feedback from all the other Vulcans in order to calm his mind and control his emotions? Spock had been trained in how to do it his whole life and he was still unable to maintain control when faced with that feedback.

The Surak of canon must have been incredible! I think you are doing a great job of portraying that awesomeness. And now Jack has his full attention. Jack also has several million (or more) years of experience controlling his emotions. Now Surak has Jack's mind to buffer him through the bond as he learns control and logic. Go Jack! :)
