Even if Lizzie isn't as set against Darcy as she would have been had she heard the 'tolerable' comment, I really approve of how he still doesn't rank very highly with her and that prompts her to stay out of his way, thereby gaining his attention. The plot divergence occurs very naturally and believably, and you do a very credible job in reproducing Austen's style. I adore how Bingley dances with Lizzie, he's such a considerate guy! So Darcy still made a bad impression, even though he didn't, audibly, commit the particular sin of slighting Lizzie. I like how you're having this proceed. Oh! I bought that book just a few days ago! Really loved it

To be honest, I first found this story on FFnet, and didn't think much of the first chapter (too many typos! said the Grammar Nazi in me)... but I figured, why not, the premise might lead somewhere interested, and ordered the sample from Amazon... and ever since then, I have bought the ebook and have not been able to stop reading! I completely adore it. I love the characterizations, and the slight tweaks you made here and there that added to the excitement. Even though it had the same Pride and Prejudice characters, it felt like a whole new story in its own right (rather than "just another fanfiction" or "just another "spin-off")-and it made me feel like getting the ebook was well worth the money. So, thank you for such a delightful read, and please pardon me as I go to read the sequel. :)
