John's mum has the same name as me! *feels blessed* The Speckled Band is one of my favourites, I really hope they can adapt it somehow for the next series. YAY FOR MORE SLASH NEXT CHAPTER! Those two really are made for eachother. Another great chapter!

Very, very cute, I really like seeing Sherlock all happy-slightly-social-adorable like he is in this chapter. Its really almost amusing how oblivious Sherlock would be to how interesting all of his stories are but John is right, we wouldn't want to inflate hsi ego.

i love your harry. the way she casually assumes that john and sherlock are in a relationship and won't hear it any other way is love. as is her drawing sherlock into telling all about past cases and letting him really come alive in the telling. the whole complimenting john for finding a guy who was nearly out of his league was just squee.

and magnetic!sherlock that john cannot look away from is totally made of win.

"it was abundantly clear that Sherlock wouldn't know Christmas spirit if it played the marimba naked on a mortuary table." i know i already told you how much i loved this line when you first told it to me, but it is still awesome. and it still makes me envision the personified christmas spirit dancing for sherlock.

also, the way that sherlock actually tries to be nice and follow some social norms and the way that john notices he's doing it is so adorable. can't wait to see more of this :)

Well this definitely seems like a promising story to say the least. Sherlock feeble attempts at social interactions (though they seem a bit like my own sadly) are absolutely adorable, and very in character. Brilliant work, update soon!
