Wow. Sheesh, if I'd known you also write some ItaShi I would've seen and reviewed this earlier. Seriously, how could I not see this? Especially since I frequently search this site for new ItaShi fics?

And I must say, it was a darn good read. There was a lot of raw emotion (which we all know you are good at) and a quite realistic take on Itachi's and Shisui's relationship and the day Shisui died. I like the idea of Itachi having to drown an entire bottle of sake before he's able to do it. Of course it's horrible to think that a child like him would drink so much, but, like I said before, considering what a shinobi life is like, I find it quite realistic.

And oh, the italic-sentences...they were the only spark of hope in this one-shot and they tore me apart!

Wow. THis is emotionally powerful and convincing. The poor boys! It makes Itachi's story so much more tragic. And it is such a reflection of the ninja world that their love is unspoken, that Itachi fights with his parents in a silent, hidden way, one that makes the fight incomprehensible even to his beloved, who ultmiately dies for it.
