I liked this story, it was nice. I do sometimes miss Stella too.

First of all, I would love it if there was another oneshot based on this! That would be great. Maybe even Mac might appear :D Thank you for letting me know about this. I really enjoyed reading and it made me smile. Such a nice idea to have Danny, Lindsay and Lucy visit Stella. I know she will have been missing them and they will have been missing her. I like how you wrote Lindsay's understanding of the situation, especially when she says that New york is Stella's home and always will be. That's very true. I loved also how she described her as the Mom of the lab, again, that's so true.

You also wrote Stella herself really well and all her thoughts. It was great to know that Mac has been to visit and he'd stayed. Thanks too for saying about the feelings between them. you've written this so much better than the show has done.

Really good conversation between Lindsay and Stella at the end, you wrote it well and I think Lindsay gave some very wise advice to Stella. I liked how you ended this, it was just right. Great story!

I’m still wondering how you always come up with so wonderful ideas for you fics like for “Snow Days” and in the mean time you already posted another absolutely stunning story. You are truly amazing hon!

OMG! Danny is so adorable. I never thought that the tough cop from New York is afraid of flying and acting like a whiny baby. Of course this is the perfect chance for Lindsay to tease Danny and to make fun of him, she just can’t stop. Not even when Danny feels miserable already. LOL. “Couldn't we have taken the car?” Danny said, shaking his head as he glanced out of the small window next to him. Lindsay rolled her eyes at her husband, chuckling. “You seriously would have preferred to drive to New Orleans by car? Do you have any idea how long that would have taken us?” - “Everything's better than going by plane,” he muttered. She laughed. “You're whiny like a baby sometimes.” … “Look at your daughter. She doesn't whine either.” - “Because she has no idea what's going on,” … “If she knew we were so many feet up here in the air, she wouldn't be so happy either.” - “Why don't you just admit that you're scared of flying?”

Because tough and strong men like Danny aren’t scared of anything. That’s at least what they want to make us woman believe. But Lindsay knows her husband better, he can’t fool her. He is scared of flying and his attempt to pull Lucy into his misery is pretty lame. Lucy is, just like her mommy, tough and strong and definitely not a whiny baby like her daddy. She handles the flight like a pro. LOL. Of course we still have to give Danny some credit that he hopped into plane to visit Lindsay in Montana to support her during the trial. He was scared of flying, but his wish and need to see and support her was bigger. That’s true love! And Lindsay knows to appreciate it; it means a lot to her that he flew all he way to Montana just to see her, she will never forget what he has done for her. And so I do think that cute fits perfectly to Danny, even though he doesn’t seem to agree with that. “But you won't call me cute again, right?” - “Why not?” she asked back. “Why not? Because I'm not cute,” … “Babies are cute. Or small animals. But I'm neither a baby nor a small animal.” - “No, you're a strong and tough man of course,” … “I'm so looking forward to meeting Stella again. I'm missing her so much. It's just not the same with her working so many miles away."

That’s true! I’m so excited to see Stella again. And Danny is right, she really was the Mom of the lab. She was always there for her co-workers and friends, especially Lindsay had a strong connection to her. “But I know what you mean. I mean, she was the first one who I told about what happened to my friends. She was there for me. She phoned me every day while I was in Montana to check if I was doing fine and to give me advice. And then when I was pregnant, she was there all the time as well. I remember how she supported me when she found out. And how she listened to my panic stories when I was about to give birth.”…“I wish she could come back.”

And I can totally see why. But they’re going to spend a whole week with her, so they should just enjoy their time in New Orleans and be happy that they see Stella again. And I’m definitely looking forward to some Stella/Lucy moments. She adores Lucy and can’t wait to see her again, she misses her a lot. “She's so excited to see Lucy again.”…“She's amazed by how big she is already.” - “Yeah, but don't be too excited because of that yet,”…“I also grew pretty fast when I was a baby. But then I stayed the shortest in my class.”- “Yeah, poor us being the shorties at school.”- “But hey, don't whine. Your ego made up for the lack of height.” LMAO! That’s hilarious. Danny and Lindsay being the shorties at school. Lindsay can’t stop herself and has to make fun of Danny. But then again, she’s only saying the truth; Danny’s ego is pretty big. LOL.

Stella is just as excited to see her friends again as Danny and Lindsay are. Sure she knows she made the right decision by moving to New Orleans to run a lab herself, that was a huge chance for her and I think she would always have regretted it, if she would have said no. Thankfully Mac supported her and told her it’s okay to leave and to take this amazing opportunity. And by now she even found new friends in New Orleans, but it’s not the same, she misses New York a lot. She grew up there and all her friends still live there, so it’s understandable that she misses New York badly sometime. After all it was her home for many years. Love the thought of Mac visiting Stella in New Orleans and stayed quite long. She was happy and excited to see him and she is aware of the fact that there is a lot more between them than friendship. She has strong feelings for Mac but was always too scared to speak them out. Now she lives miles away from him and everything is even more complicated. But she knows, sooner or later she has to tell Mac the truth; she can’t hide her feelings forever.

But now she wants to concentrate on Danny and Lindsay visiting her. Beside Mac, Stella misses the Messer’s the most. She always had a close friendship to them and saw how Lindsay Monroe and Danny Messer became a happy family. She was always there for him and helped them through their good and bad times. It’s normal that thinking about her friends she feels homesick from time to time, it’s human. Tough now she should try to listen to her own advice and push those thoughts aside for a while and just enjoy her time with Danny, Lindsay and Lucy. They will definitely have a lot of fun together. It’s so wonderful to see Danny, Lindsay and Stella reunited again. It was an emotional and intense moment to meet again after such a long time apart, but they are so happy to see each other again. And I knew that Lindsay would love Stella’s new house immediately, it may be different from New York, but I think it reminds her a little bit of her old home in Montana. It’s peaceful and quiet and is right next to a beautiful lake, no wonder Lindsay feels home. “It's beautiful,” … “Yeah, I think we should come over more often,” Danny agreed, shifting Lucy in his arms. “What do you say, cutie? Isn't it nice here?”

Too bad Lucy is too tired to notice and acknowledge Stella’s house and her room at all. LOL. And while Danny puts her to bed, he suggests that Lindsay and Stella could do some girl things, whatever that means. Sometimes he’s too cute for words. “Why don't you girls just do what girls always do when they meet and I put Lucy to bed?”-“What do girls do when they meet?”-“Talking I guess.” Though I have to admit that he’s right with that, girls always talk when they are together. And that’s exactly what Stella and Lindsay are doing, talking and catching up on each other’s life. After not seeing each other for so long they definitely have a lot to talk about. I guess both of them needed that, it just feels incredibly good to talk to close friend. Especially Stella needs someone to talk to, she obviously has some things on her mid she needs to talk about. While she knows that her decision to move to New Orleans was right, she also feels alone sometimes, she misses her old friends, especially Linds. Building up such a wonderful and close friendship needs time, so it’ll take some time until Stella trusts someone else as much as Lindsay. Lindsay is clearly touched by her words and realizes that she’s feeling the same way. First it seemed like Lindsay is okay with Stella moving to New Orleans, but just because she hadn’t the time to think about it. Normally she’s busy with being a mom and a wife who has an exhausting job. But now when she and Stella talk so honest to each other she can’t push her feelings aside, she misses Stella badly. “You do like being here, don't you? You don't regret it?” - “I don't regret it, no,” … “It's nice here, the job is great. But...sometimes I wonder if I would have regretted rejecting the offer.”-“You think you should have stayed?”- “Sometimes it feels like that. I know I can be grateful for this chance. I always wanted to run a lab by myself. But...see, since I'm here, I wonder if getting my career forward it really what I want. Sometimes I wonder if being around the ones I love isn't more important than having my own lab.”-“I think what really matters is that you're happy,”…“Whatever that means. If your job here is what you really want to do and if you're happy here, you should stay. But if you feel like New York is where you should be and that you'd rather want your old job back, then you should listen to this wish… This is difficult. I don't want to influence you.”

I think it’s normal that Lindsay wishes Stella would come back to New York, after all she is her best friend. But that doesn’t mean that she’s not happy for her! Because she really is, she knows that taking this job is a huge chance for Stella and that she simply had to do it. Sometimes it’s just hard to accept that she’s so far away and talking over the phone is not the same as sifting next to each other. And I agree with Lindsay, Stella just has to listen to her heart; it’ll tell her what to do. You can clearly see how relived Stella is after her conversation with Lindsay, it helped her a lot and now she seems to feel better. And when Danny steps into the room and wants to eat something, he immediately lightens the mood. But really, what’s better than eating something together after such an intense talk? “You'd mind if I cooked something?” - “You're always hungry, huh? Don't you want to have a look at the house at first?” -. “I'd like to have a look at the kitchen.”

Danny is hilarious, always thinking about food. I just hope Lucy won’t pick up his eating habits. I know you already have a lot fics in the work, but maybe you could think about writing some more chapters for this story! It’s such a wonderful idea and has so much potential. :D

Oh you've done it now, we will be getting a Christmas story everyday until the 25? I hope so! A Cajun Christmas, check!

Danny's whining on the plane was so him, I love how Lindsay compared how he was acting to how Lucy was. She's like two, being a complete sweetheart on the plane ride, while daddy was acting like a baby! LMAO! But this had to be my favorite line in the entire story.

"Yeah, poor us being the shorties at school." Lindsay shook her head in amusement. "But hey, don't whine. Your ego made up for the lack of height."

She is so nice to him, LOL! I love how they visited Stella in here, and to see how she was doing. I think everyone experiences home sickness once in a while. But she is doing so great at the lab with her own staff, I think with everything going on, the memories of NY still call to her. That is why I adore the way Lindsay helped her talk through it, if she ever did want to come back, everyone would welcome her with open arms. :) Marvelous!

Mhm... I wonder how Stella is in the CSI:NY world...(:

Guess, it's probably like you wrote it. I always thought Stella gets too much screen time, but I still liked her character, and she really reminded me of the lab mom...(;

I kind of wish she'd come back and Jo just leaves... I mean she's nice and all, but still...(;

Thanks for the story...(:
