This was beautifully written, and alternately funny, cute and poignant. I loved it! I definitely yearned for more Eilonwy/Taran fluff in the books and this fits very nicely :) Thank you!

This is beautiful, and I feel I ought to tell you so. We get a whole lot of what Taran feels for Eilonwy in The Chronicles of Prydain, but she doesn't get much of a say until the very end of the High King. And knowing Eilonwy, she's probably very dissatisfied with this state of affairs. So thank you for writing this from her POV.

I'm trying to think of some coherent place to begin, aside from telling you again how much I LOVE your Prydain works. I think this one must be one of my favorites you've done, because you have this knack for capturing Taran and Eilonwy perfectly, no matter what age you write them at. I personally don't think it's AU at all in conjunction with The High King; I think it's really plausible. I love the subtle, sensual dance you put these two through, and I envy your ability to write Eilonwy's emotions at a crucial moment. The sexuality in girding on the sword, their kiss: all perfect. (Incidently, if you are ever so inclined, I would love reading anything you write about the first kiss you mention Eilonwy recalling during the second...) Thanks for posting your works, CW!
